The ranking of the top game stores on Razer Cortex: Deals continues to be massively dominated by Steam and Origin whose share of traffic grows to 75% (an increase of 5% since July). The gap between the two front runners has widened slightly as Steam’s gains were greater than Origin’s.

Amazon jumps up from eighth to third, mimicking what Green Man Gaming accomplished in July. Capturing 5% of user traffic, Amazon stands at a very far distance from the top two.

Also moving up this month is Gamestop, going from penultimate to the middle of the board at 6th place. The only other rise was registered by GOG.com who moved up from the bottom by one position.

This month’s greatest drop comes from Battle.net. After solid discounts in July, August saw Blizzard’s store bring its prices back to normal.

The top game stores on Razer Cortex: Deals see a lot of shuffling  except for the two leading positions which are responsible for 70% of all visits.

Once again, Steam takes the first position with 44% of visits from Razer Cortex: Deals users. A slight drop from 51% last month when Steam held its annual Summer Sale.

Still solid in second, Origin racks in just a little over a quarter of all store visits from Cortex: Deals users.

Green Man Gaming shows the gains of its June summer sales in July as it shoots up to third from eighth place. Gamers are learning that there are deals to be found outside of major stores like Steam during the summer season.

The only other rise registered in the top game stores of June was Humble Bundle, from ninth to sixth place. All the other stores on Razer Cortex: Deals (except Steam and Origin) saw a decline in their ranking positions.

Also new in July was the inclusion of two new stores into the price comparison engine. This month we give a warm welcome to Indiegala and Paradox Plaza!

June’s ranking of the top stores clicked to on Razer Cortex: Deals is in!

For the third month straight Steam and Origin top the chart in first and second position respectively. Steam racks up more than half of the clicks thanks to its popular Summer Sale which ran from 11 to 22 June. With hundreds of games on discount and lots of flash sales popping up for a limited time, Razer Cortex: Deals users kept checking back for the hottest deals on their favorite games and to not miss out on any bargains.

However, Steam wasn’t the only store with summer sales in June. Gamersgate, Uplay, Green Man Gaming and GOG.com also brought down their prices and gamers responded with all but Green Man Gaming registering growth and Uplay showing the highest rise in the top stores when compared to May.
